WILL A BODY SHOP PICK UP YOUR CAR?
This one will. Free pickup and dropoff of drivable cars within 75 miles of our Lewisville shop — genuinely free, no coverage requirement, no fine conditions: a driver comes to your home or work, documents the car at your curb, and brings it back the same way when the work is done. Can’t drive? Then it rides a flatbed — billed to your insurance carrier on covered claims; no coverage for the haul, ask about discounted rates through our towing partners. Either way, a free loaner from the 50+ fleet is part of the plan, so handing over your keys doesn’t mean losing your week. Call (972) 219-0864 or text (817) 907-2822 to put a pickup on the board.
The Longer Answer
THE REPAIR THAT COMES TO YOU — AND THE HONEST LINE IN THE MIDDLE OF IT
Here’s how a pickup actually runs. You tell us where the car lives — driveway, office garage, apartment lot, anywhere it’s legally parked — and a driver meets you or your key-handoff arrangement there. Before the car moves an inch, it gets a walk-around with photos: every panel, every existing mark, time-stamped, so the condition is documented in both directions and nobody ever wonders what happened in transit. The same ritual runs in reverse at dropoff, when the finished car comes back to your curb and gets walked again, in daylight, before we hand over the keys. The 75-mile radius isn’t a marketing number — it reaches Weatherford to the west, McKinney to the east, Denton to the north, and deep into Fort Worth and Dallas, which is to say: virtually anywhere a DFW commute happens, the pickup truck has already been.
The honest line in the middle: “drivable” is the qualifier, and it’s there for a reason you’ll respect. Driving a safe car to the shop costs a driver’s hour, so we give it away. Hauling a car that can’t drive is a flatbed — real equipment, real operator — and pretending that’s free is how shops end up making the money back somewhere less visible. What actually happens instead: on covered claims the flatbed is billed to your insurance carrier (Texas comprehensive and collision policies generally cover reasonable towing — the towing-cost answer runs the whole math, including the tow-yard meter to avoid), and when there’s no coverage for the haul, we’ll point you to discounted rates through our towing partners before you pay anyone’s rack rate. If your car is already sitting in a tow yard, say so first — we coordinate the yard-to-shop transfer so the daily storage meter stops.
Two more pieces that make pickup more than a convenience. First, the loaner: the pickup driver doesn’t leave you stranded — a free loaner from the 50+ vehicle fleet gets arranged around the same visit; when your policy includes rental coverage we bill your insurer for the loaner, and when it doesn’t, you still pay nothing. Second, the trip you might skip entirely: most pickups start with photos texted to (817) 907-2822 — we read the damage, write the plan, and schedule the pickup once you’ve decided, which means plenty of our customers never see the shop until they come wave at their finished car. If the claim side is still ahead of you, who pays the shop explains the billing, and your out-of-pocket stays what it always is here: typically your deductible, once, at pickup — or in this case, at dropoff, in your own driveway.
