DG’s is a written lifetime warranty on everything except mechanical repairs (those carry 1 year / 10,000 miles), and paint fading is covered, not excluded. Insurer “network guarantees” are real, but their protection typically lives at network shops — and Tex. Ins. Code §1952.301 means choosing your own shop never has to mean choosing less protection.

The shop’s own written warranty is the one that matters most, because it follows the work regardless of who paid for it. Ours covers the repair for the lifetime of the vehicle — bodywork, structure, and refinish, with fading explicitly covered — while mechanical repairs carry a defined 1 year / 10,000 miles. The operative word is written: it’s printed, it lives with your paperwork, and the full terms are public on our terms page rather than living in a handshake.
The insurer’s network guarantee is the second kind, and it deserves an honest read. Carriers genuinely stand behind repairs at their direct-repair shops — but the fine print varies a lot: some carriers back the work themselves, some back the shop’s own guarantee, and most versions apply at network facilities. None of that requires you to use the network: §1952.301 puts the shop choice with you on every Texas auto policy, and a shop with a lifetime warranty of its own makes the network question moot — you’re covered because the builder of the repair says so, not because a claims department does.
The verbal “we stand behind it” is the third kind, and it’s worth what it’s printed on.
