HOW MUCH DOES HAIL DAMAGE REPAIR COST IN PHOENIX?
At our Phoenix shop, a few dents paid in cash run $75–$200 per dent with paintless dent repair. Light hail on one or two panels runs $750–$1,500, a typical full-vehicle insurance claim $5,000–$12,000, and severe damage with cracked paint or glass $7,500–$15,000+. On an insurance claim, your insurer pays the repair and you normally owe only your deductible. For qualifying claims from the October 20–21, 2026 storms, DG Collision Center covers that deductible up to $2,000, depending on the damage, so many drivers pay nothing out of pocket.
The Longer Answer
WHAT SETS THE PRICE ON YOUR CAR
Dent count and size. Paintless dent repair is priced by how many dents there are, how big and deep they are, and where they sit. A dent on a flat hood is faster than one on a roof rail or a body line. That’s why the honest answer starts with a written count under PDR lights, not a number over the phone.
Whether the paint held. If the paint isn’t cracked, the dents can usually be pushed out from behind with the factory finish intact. If a strike cracked the paint, that panel needs conventional repair and refinishing, which costs more. Hail of 1.75 to 2 inches, like the largest stones near Deer Valley, Metrocenter and northeast Mesa, is where cracked paint starts to show up.
Access. Getting a tool behind a roof can mean dropping the headliner; behind a hood, removing an insulation pad. That removal and reinstallation labor is part of the price, and we quote it before starting.
Claim or cash. If the repair is well above your deductible, a comprehensive claim usually makes sense, and our deductible coverage applies to qualifying claims. If it’s a handful of dents, cash is often cheaper than a claim. Either way, Arizona law (A.R.S. § 20-468) lets you choose the shop. The full offer is on our Phoenix hail repair page.
