GOT YOUR HAIL ESTIMATE? HERE’S WHAT TO DO NEXT
Check that it lists every damaged panel, then pick your shop and send them the estimate. You don’t need to wait for a check or for the insurer to tell you where to go. Arizona law (A.R.S. § 20-468) lets you choose any shop, and the shop can send your adjuster a supplement for anything the first estimate missed. Most people lose time here by waiting for something that isn’t coming. At DG Collision Center’s Phoenix shop, you can text a photo of your estimate to (602) 935-6008 and we’ll tell you if it looks short. Qualifying claims are $0 out of pocket, with free pickup and a free loaner.
Step By Step
FIVE STEPS FROM ESTIMATE TO DRIVING YOUR CAR
Not sure what the lines mean? Our estimate decoder goes through them one at a time.
THREE THINGS THAT TRIP PEOPLE UP
"I’m waiting on the check." The check isn’t permission to start. Once your insurer has approved the claim, a shop can usually schedule you. Read more on what to do with the check.
"The estimate is low, so I’ll argue first." Arguing the total rarely helps. A written count under PDR lights is what changes the number, and that comes from the shop. Under A.A.C. R20-6-801(H)(5) you’re entitled to a copy of the insurer’s estimate, so start from that.
"I’ll do it later." You may have time, but dates fill up after a storm. Here’s how long you can wait.
Your share. On qualifying claims from the October 20–21, 2026 storms, we cover the first $1,000 of your deductible; if yours is higher, the rest is case by case, and we do our best. Everything is written on the estimate. Our page on auto hail repair in Phoenix has prices and pickup details. General information, not legal advice.
