TRAVELERS HAIL CLAIM IN PHOENIX? WHAT’S OPTIONAL

Quick Answer

Report a comprehensive claim with the storm date: October 20, 2026 for the East Valley, October 21 for north Phoenix and Glendale. The Travelers app may show the MyTravelers Repair Network, and it’s optional. Travelers' own page says customers have the right to choose where their vehicle is repaired and "are under no obligation to use a repair facility in our network." Arizona law (A.R.S. § 20-468) says the same. Network repairs come with a guarantee Travelers stands behind for as long as you own the vehicle; ours carry a written lifetime warranty. Qualifying Travelers hail claims at our Phoenix shop are $0 out of pocket: Travelers pays the repair, and we cover the first $1,000 of your deductible.

The Longer Answer

THE EASIEST BUTTON ISN’T THE ONLY ONE

Apps nudge. A network list in the app is quick to tap, which is the point. It’s a convenience, not a requirement, and it’s fine if it suits you. Just know you can stop and pick another shop before anyone starts on the car.

Whose promise is it? Travelers says it stands behind each network shop’s repair guarantee. Choosing another shop means the promise comes from that shop. Ask who you’d call in three years, and whether they’d answer.

Appraisal can depend on the state. Travelers' wording is that customers can choose where a car is appraised "depending on state" and/or repaired. So ask your adjuster how the inspection will be handled. Arizona’s A.A.C. R20-6-801(H)(3) bars insurers from requiring unreasonable travel to get a repair estimate.

GETTING THE NUMBER RIGHT

Whether the first estimate came from an app or an appraiser, it needs to match what’s on the car. We count dents under PDR lights, list the access work the repair needs, and send your adjuster a supplement with photos. R20-6-801(H)(5) requires an estimate you can reasonably expect to repair the car, with a copy to you.

The money side: on qualifying claims from the October 20–21 storms, the first $1,000 of your deductible is on us; above it, case by case, and we do our best. Skip the rental counter with one of our 30+ Phoenix loaners, free to you whether or not your policy has rental coverage. Prices and pickup are on our hail repair Phoenix page.

Travelers stands behind guarantees at its network shops. At ours, the repair is covered by our own written lifetime warranty on everything except mechanical.
