Three different people. Your Farmers agent sold you the policy and can be a real ally, especially if a claim goes quiet. The claims team writes the number. The shop does the repair and documents what the number missed. It helps to know who to ask for what. A good first call to your agent: "Is my claim assigned, and who’s the adjuster?"

What’s on your card may not say Farmers. Farmers Group policies in Arizona can be written by companies with other names, such as Farmers Insurance Company of Arizona or Economy Premier Assurance Company. It’s worth checking your declarations page so the claim reaches the right place.

FROM THE PHOTO ESTIMATE TO THE REAL COUNT

A phone photo flattens shallow dents. Under PDR lights, we mark and count each one by panel and send your adjuster a supplement with photos. Arizona’s rule, A.A.C. R20-6-801(H)(5), says an insurer’s estimate should be an amount that can reasonably be expected to do the job, and that you get a copy.
