Locals call them the Lake Cities for a reason: Corinth, Lake Dallas, Hickory Creek, and Shady Shores function as one shoreline community of roughly 40,000 people, sharing schools, a fire department, and — most relevantly to us — a single artery: I-35E runs through all four, carrying the full Denton-to-Dallas commute across the lake bridge at their doorstep. Towns this size don’t support full-scale collision facilities, so the choice has always been Denton’s shops to the north or Lewisville’s to the south. Our claim is simple and checkable on any map: no I-CAR Gold Class floor sits closer — ten to twelve minutes down the interstate you already drive daily, on the Lewisville side of the bridge.

Proximity is the headline; the standard is the substance. We see the corridor’s output daily because it’s our corridor too. The lake-bridge compression is the signature generator: whatever speed traffic carries out of Denton, the bridge section funnels and slows it, and the transition zones at both ends produce classic accordion rear-enders — bumper covers that spring back over crushed absorbers, trunk floors that need pulling, radar brackets knocked out of spec. The Swisher Road (FM 2181) and Corinth Parkway interchanges add the crossing-traffic class: frontage-road T-bones and left-turn clips where highway ramps meet local errands, the impacts that make door skins, B-pillars, and side-curtain airbags our problem.

Off the interstate, the towns contribute their own patterns: school-zone stop-and-go along FM 2181 through Corinth at pickup hour, lake-weekend trailer traffic around the Lake Dallas and Hickory Creek ramps — wide turns, tight lots, hitch-height mismatches — and gravel-truck debris from the corridor’s never-quite-finished construction, which chips paint and stars windshields more than any hailstorm.
