April 28, 2026: an amateur-radio operator relays three-inch hail measured at the Johnson County Emergency Operations Center — the agency whose job is disasters, reporting one from its own parking lot — with baseball hail near US 67 and the Chisholm Trail Expressway at the same minute and two inches at Cleburne High School seven minutes later. Between the giants, the calendar kept filling: golf balls near Walls Hospital at Henderson and Highway 67 in April 2017, two-inch stones at half past midnight in April 2020, golf balls at 8:21 PM in May 2021, and the pre-dawn line of March 8, 2025 that dropped half-dollars near Gerard Elementary at 3:42 AM before working northeast — Burleson took its golf balls an hour later, Mansfield by five. Stones at Cleburne’s top end crack windshields and split paint; they don’t just dent. If a truck sat out under any of those dates and never got read under proper light, the claim is still live — comprehensive coverage doesn’t expire because the damage was discovered late.
