Frisco leads our single-city pages with 23 days of inch-plus hail; Keller has 20. The ring around Haslet, Alliance Airport and the Golden Triangle has logged 29 — and four stones of three inches or more, which no single city we serve can match. An honest caveat before the number does any work: this is a corridor, not a city, so the five-mile ring here is wider than the ones behind our other pages and the counts aren’t strictly comparable. It doesn’t change what the record says. Storms coming off the Wise County line run straight down US 287 and I-35W, and the ground between Sendera Ranch, the airport, Heritage Trace and Golden Triangle Boulevard has taken hail from the Hillcrest Airfield monster of 2021 to the 1.5-inch stones near Alliance on August 26, 2026.

What makes the corridor different from a suburb is where the cars are. Haslet’s driveways and Sendera Ranch’s cul-de-sacs take hail the way any neighborhood does — but the Alliance side stacks thousands of vehicles in open employee lots, distribution yards and apartment parking along I-35W at exactly the hours the record shows hail arriving. A car that spends its workday outside on the corridor has a hail exposure its home ZIP code doesn’t explain. That’s why the shift-change section below exists, and why free pickup matters more here than almost anywhere we serve: the corridor is well inside our radius, and a car that took the August 26 stones at 6 PM in a lot off Golden Triangle doesn’t have to make a 35-minute drive to get counted.

The Public Record

THE CORRIDOR’S HAIL RECORD — 1″+ DAYS SINCE 2015

One National Weather Service local storm report per row, each logged within five miles of Haslet, Alliance Airport or the Golden Triangle, or named for the corridor outright. The footprint reaches Roanoke and Hillcrest Airfield to the north, the Keller line to the east, Saginaw to the southwest and the Rhome–Justin seam to the northwest — wider than a single city, and counted that way on purpose. A point report is where a person stood; it says nothing about the lot two miles away that had no spotter in it.

Two shapes in this table. The corridor’s own entries — Heritage Trace, Alliance Town Center, Haslet near 287, the Golden Triangle — run quarter to ping-pong, the size that dents a hood and, at the top of that range, a door. The ring’s north and west seams — Hillcrest Airfield, Bonds Ranch, west of Roanoke, east of Rhome — are where the three-inch class lives, and those storms don’t stop at a county road. A car that lives or works anywhere on the corridor is in both records.

Timing

HAIL AT THE START OF A SHIFT, NOT JUST THE END

Across the four core DFW counties, six in ten hail reports land between 5 and 11 PM — the commute-home window our hail-season data guide documents. Most of the corridor’s record fits that pattern: the August 26 stones at 5:59 PM, the March 2021 photo at 8:55 PM, the Hillcrest monster at 8:40 PM. But about a third of the corridor’s inch-plus days fell outside it, and those are the ones a workforce should know about: ping-pong hail at I-35 and Heritage Trace at 6:35 in the morning in June 2023, ping-pong hail in Haslet at 10:15 AM in April 2019, quarter-size at Alliance Town Center at 12:38 on a Saturday afternoon, quarter-size at Beach and Heritage Trace at 5 AM, and a February round in Haslet at 3:58 AM.

The practical version: on the corridor, the car parked in an employee lot from 6 AM to 3 PM has real exposure, not just the one in a driveway at dinner. If you work along I-35W and Golden Triangle and your car lives outside on the clock, a raking-light walk-around in the lot after any storm day is worth the two minutes — and the dent count that follows is free, at our shop or with a pickup from yours.

After The Storm

THE FRONTAGE-ROAD TENTS ARRIVE WITH THE STORM

The corridor is the easiest canvass in North Texas: a frontage road off I-35W, a banner, and a workforce walking out to dented cars at 3 PM. After August 26 the tents were up on the Alliance side within days, and the apartment complexes off Golden Triangle get the door-hangers every spring. Some traveling techs are skilled. None of their warranties have an address. Ours has had the same one since 1978 — and it will still answer the phone in March, when a tent repair on an aluminum hood starts showing its edges.

Refuse two things at the tent. A same-day signature that hands over your claim rights before an estimate exists is a contract, not a favor. And a deductible “covered” by inflating the estimate to hide it is insurance fraud under Texas Penal Code §35.02, filed under the policyholder’s name. Legitimate deductible help is printed, capped and paid from the shop’s own margin — ours is. The Insurance Side

THE CORRIDOR HAIL CLAIM, PLAINLY

The rules that carry a corridor claim are Texas’s, not ours. Tex. Ins. Code §1952.301 puts the choice of shop and parts with the policyholder — a network name from the claims line is a recommendation the statute lets you decline. 28 TAC §5.7016 bars a carrier from nonrenewing a personal auto policy solely over weather claims. Hail is filed as comprehensive, with no fault assigned and nothing on the driving record. No rule freezes a premium, and the rates guide says so plainly along with what actually moves one.

From the claim number on, the paperwork is ours: the dent map under reading lights, a submission in the format adjusters approve fastest, direct billing with every major carrier, and the supplement cycle an honest teardown produces — every one of our 2026 State Farm hail claims needed at least one, and documented files still cleared in about a week. You pay the deductible once, less the first $1,000 covered on qualifying hail claims. A corridor-specific point worth stating: a car hailed in an employee lot is still the owner’s comprehensive claim, not the employer’s, and the date of loss is what the adjuster needs — August 26 is in the federal record. East on 170, then the lake road: from Haslet or the Alliance corridor, take SH 170 east to SH 114 eastbound past Westlake and Southlake toward Grapevine, pick up FM 2499 north at the Grapevine Mills corner, then Round Grove Rd (FM 3040) east into Lewisville and down Valley Ridge to 693 Metro Park Cir, Lewisville, TX 75057. Or don’t drive it at all.
