HAIL DAMAGE REPAIR — COLLEYVILLE, TX

Colleyville sits in the middle of the Mid-Cities, and its hail record proves it: every neighbor’s storm crosses this ring. Fifteen days of inch-plus hail since 2015 — and when the barrage of May 27, 2024 came, the ping-pong pin landed a tenth of a mile from Colleyville’s own center, with a 2.75″ baseball two miles north in Bedford. Two August entries, too. Published PDR pricing, claims billed direct, free loaners, free pickup across 76034.

TL;DR

Colleyville’s five-mile ring touches seven neighbors — Grapevine, Southlake, Keller, North Richland Hills, Hurst, Bedford and Euless — which means every Mid-Cities storm crosses it, and the log shows 15 days of inch-plus hail since 2015 to prove the geometry. The heaviest hour was May 27, 2024: ping-pong hail logged a tenth of a mile from Colleyville’s center at 7:09 PM, “golf ball size hail colleyville” at 7:17, a 2.75-inch baseball two miles north in Bedford at 7:12, a hen egg at 7:29 — more than forty ring entries in under an hour. The calendar runs wide here too: two August entries (golf balls on the 183 corridor in 2021, quarters at FM 157 and Bedford Road on August 3, 2025), a November evening in 2021, and a 9:02 AM round just west of town on May 6, 2025. So far in 2026 the ring’s three entries — April 28, May 23 and June 2 — all sit on the Grapevine and Southlake seams, with nothing yet logged in Colleyville proper. We’re 20–25 minutes away via SH 26 and 121, or zero: free pickup and loaner delivery across 76034. Published pricing (light hail $750–$1,500, typical full-vehicle claim $2,500–$8,000), direct billing, and the first $1,000 of the deductible covered on qualifying hail claims.

  • The middle of the Mid-Cities: seven neighbors share this ring — their storms are Colleyville’s storms, minutes apart in the log.
  • The hour that proved it: May 27, 2024 — ping-pong at the town center, golf balls in town, a 2.75″ baseball and a hen egg on the Bedford side.
  • The calendar runs wide: two August entries, a November evening, and a 9 AM morning round in 2025.
  • 2026, honestly: three ring entries so far — all on the Grapevine/Southlake seams, none yet in Colleyville proper.

The Geometry

EVERY NEIGHBOR’S STORM CROSSES COLLEYVILLE

Draw a five-mile circle around Colleyville and you’ve drawn a map of the Mid-Cities: Grapevine, Southlake, Keller, North Richland Hills, Hurst, Bedford and Euless all put territory inside it. The hail log reads accordingly — a roll call of everyone’s storms. Grapevine’s pre-dawn quarters of March 2019. Keller’s November 2021 evening. NRH’s spring rounds. Bedford’s golf balls on the 183 corridor in August 2021 — and quarters at FM 157 and Bedford Road on August 3, 2025, the ring’s second August entry. When neighbors’ pages talk about “the Colleyville seam,” this is the other side of that sentence: geometry puts this town in the path of everything.

That has a practical meaning for anyone whose car lives outdoors here. A storm that makes the news for Grapevine or Keller was, more often than not, over some part of Colleyville’s ring minutes earlier or later — so “I don’t remember hail hitting us” is weak evidence against a dent field, and the log below is strong evidence for one. Matching your car’s damage to a dated entry — whichever neighbor’s name is on the pin — is exactly how a Colleyville claim gets its date of loss, and it’s work we do free under proper light.

May 27, 2024

THE HOUR THE MIDDLE SEAT PAID OFF THE THESIS

Memorial Day evening, 2024. Between 6:38 and 7:29 PM the log filled with more than forty entries inside this one ring — and this time the storm didn’t graze Colleyville, it revolved around it. Dimes on the Southlake side at 6:38. Quarters west of town at 6:56 and 6:58. At 7:09 PM, “ping pong ball colleyville” — pinned a tenth of a mile from the town’s center. At 7:11, half-dollars just south. At 7:12, a 2.75-inch baseball a mile north of Bedford — 2.3 miles from Colleyville’s center — and at 7:17, “golf ball size hail colleyville”, with a measured two-inch stone near Davis Boulevard on the Keller seam and a hen egg southwest of Bedford closing the hour. Wilshire Elementary made the log. So did the Morrisdale neighborhood.

That hour left the full spectrum of damage this page prices: shallow PDR fields where the dimes and quarters fell, deep combination work — paintless plus refinish — where the golf balls and the baseball hit square. Two-plus years on, some of it is still riding around unrepaired, waiting for a trade-in appraiser to price it unkindly. The date is federally fixed; a mapped estimate against it is still a live conversation, and the check costs nothing.

The Public Record

COLLEYVILLE’S HAIL RECORD — 1″+ DAYS SINCE 2015

Each row is a National Weather Service local storm report logged in Colleyville or within five miles of the city center. The ring’s geometry bears repeating: it holds pieces of seven neighboring cities, so many rows carry a neighbor’s name on a pin that was minutes from Colleyville rooftops. Point reports mark witnesses, not boundaries — a quiet cul-de-sac off Glade Road can take a beating without an entry, and a Hurst pin doesn’t convict a Colleyville driveway. Dates and sizes are what the log settles.

Date (local)Largest logged stoneWhat the NWS log says

June 7, 20181.00″ — quarterA dinner-hour quarter round on the Grapevine side

Fifteen rows, seven neighbors’ names, and Colleyville’s own pins threaded through them — the 2019 EM entry, the 2023 inch, the 2024 hour. The neighbors’ own pages tell their sides: Keller, Grapevine, Southlake and North Richland Hills all share pieces of this ring. The metro’s month-by-month season math is in the DFW hail-season data guide.

WHAT HAIL REPAIR COSTS FOR COLLEYVILLE

One table, published, the same on every DG page. The deep dive is the DFW hail cost guide; the estimator gives you a range in two minutes.

Damage levelPublished rangeNotes
Single dents (cash PDR)$50–$150 per dentPlus R&I trim labor when access means trim or a panel comes off
Light — 1–2 panels$750–$1,500The quarter-round class most of this ring’s rows describe
Deep dents on 1–2 panels$1,500–$4,000Golf-ball strikes like the town took at 7:17 that May evening
Several panels, clear coat intact$2,000–$5,000A topside peppered end to end — classic PDR work
Several panels, deep or cracked paint$5,000–$10,000+The baseball-and-hen-egg class from the Bedford side of the hour
Typical full-vehicle claim$2,500–$8,000Where most carrier-paid hail claims settle
Full vehicle, dense but clear$5,000–$9,000Roof, hood, deck lid and both bodysides
Full vehicle, deep / glass / cracked paint$7,500–$15,000+Where the 2.75″ class lands — glass and refinish join the PDR

Colleyville’s garages skew premium, and premium panels change technique, not price tables: aluminum hoods and doors work-harden around dents and price toward each range’s top — the F-150 hail page and the Silverado & Sierra two-metals page map which panels are which — and when a baseball-class storm meets an older vehicle, the will-it-total guide runs Texas’s 100%-of-value arithmetic honestly.

After The Storm

GLADE ROAD GETS THE POLISHED PITCH

Colleyville’s canvassers arrive looking respectable — magnetic signs, matching shirts, an iPad — because the neighborhood teaches them to. After the May 2024 hour they worked the tree-lined loops off Glade and Hall-Johnson for weeks. The paperwork under the polish is what matters, and it fails the same nine checks a folding table’s does: a signature requested before an estimate exists, a warranty with no Texas address behind it, a claim “handled for you” by someone the law forbids from negotiating it. The hail-scams guide walks all nine tells with the statutes attached — five minutes that protect a five-figure roof.

Two lines for the doorstep, whoever’s standing on it: any contract signed at your home can be canceled until midnight of the third business day — Texas law, no explanation owed — and a deductible made to “disappear” inside an inflated estimate is insurance fraud under Tex. Penal Code §35.02, prosecuted under the policyholder’s name. The audit-proof version is printed on our estimates: the first $1,000 of qualifying hail-claim deductibles covered, funded from our own margin, with the carrier billed honestly.

The Insurance Side

A COLLEYVILLE HAIL CLAIM, NEIGHBOR’S STORM OR NOT

The rules first. Hail is comprehensive — fault-free, invisible to your driving record, identical on an agreed-value policy. The shop is yours to choose under Tex. Ins. Code §1952.301 — a network “recommendation” from the claims line carries no legal weight — and 28 TAC §5.7016 bars nonrenewal of a personal auto policy solely over weather claims. Premiums have no such lock; the rates guide shows what actually moves them, including the territory filings that reach 76034 after any storm year, claim or no claim.

Then the part the middle seat makes interesting: the date. When your storm was “Grapevine’s” or “Keller’s” in the news, your claim still needs its own date of loss — and the ring’s log supplies it, whichever neighbor’s name rides the pin. We map the dents under raking light, match them to the dated entry, submit in your carrier’s format, bill direct, and argue the supplements from photographs — in our 2026 State Farm files, every hail claim needed at least one. You open the claim (the guide walks it), pay the deductible once — first $1,000 covered on qualifying hail claims — and drive one of our 50+ loaners meanwhile. Liability-only on the weekend truck? The liability-only guide keeps that conversation honest too.

Colleyville Hail Questions

COLLEYVILLE HAIL REPAIR FAQ

Was there hail in Colleyville in 2026?+
The ring has three 2026 entries — half-dollar hail in Southlake on April 28 during the four-day outbreak, a 2:16 AM quarter round near Grapevine on May 23, and quarters along Hwy 114 on June 2 — but nothing has been logged in Colleyville proper this year, and we’d rather say that plainly than invent a storm. Given how this ring works, a car that commutes through Grapevine or Southlake may still have met one of those rounds; a five-minute raking-light check settles it.
What happened on May 27, 2024?+
The ring’s heaviest hour on record. Between 6:38 and 7:29 PM, more than forty entries filled the log: ping-pong hail pinned a tenth of a mile from Colleyville’s center at 7:09, golf-ball hail in Colleyville at 7:17, a 2.75-inch baseball a mile north of Bedford at 7:12, a hen egg at 7:29, and a measured two-inch stone near Davis Boulevard on the Keller seam. Damage from that hour spans everything from pure PDR to glass-and-refinish combination work — and its date is beyond dispute.
The news said the storm hit Grapevine — does that count for my claim?+
Very often, yes. Colleyville’s five-mile ring holds pieces of seven neighboring cities, so the storm that made news elsewhere was frequently over Colleyville rooftops minutes earlier or later — the log’s timestamps show it again and again. An adjuster doesn’t need the pin to say “Colleyville”; they need a dated federal entry consistent with your damage pattern, and matching the two is exactly the documentation work we do free.
Hail in August — twice?+
Twice, on this table: golf-ball hail near Forest Ridge Drive and Highway 183 on August 1, 2021, with quarters at Bedford Road and 121 the same afternoon — and quarters at FM 157 and Bedford Road on August 3, 2025. DFW’s season peaks in spring, but this ring’s record runs from pre-dawn March rounds to November evenings with two Augusts in between, which is one more reason an unexplained dent field deserves a date-match before anyone dismisses it.
What does hail repair cost in Colleyville?+
The published table, identical on every DG page: light hail on one or two panels, $750–$1,500; deep dents on a panel or two, $1,500–$4,000; several panels with paint intact, $2,000–$5,000; the typical full-vehicle carrier claim, $2,500–$8,000; severe damage with cracked paint or glass — the baseball class — $7,500–$15,000+. Cash PDR runs $50–$150 per dent plus R&I trim labor where access needs disassembly. On qualifying hail claims, the first $1,000 of the deductible is covered, printed on the estimate.
Can you handle the premium panels Colleyville drives?+
Yes — that’s much of our Mid-Cities work: an isolated aluminum bay, I-CAR Gold Class training, the slow-and-warm PDR technique work-hardening aluminum demands, OEM procedures pulled per panel, and genuine parts argued in writing under §1952.301 when replacement beats repair. Satin and specialty finishes are repaired to their own rules rather than cut and buffed. The luxury-repair page covers the full standard if your garage leans that way.
Will a hail claim raise my rates or endanger my policy?+
The policy is protected by rule: 28 TAC §5.7016 bars a carrier from nonrenewing a personal auto policy solely over weather claims, and hail files as comprehensive — no fault, nothing on your record. The premium has no statutory ceiling, so the honest answer is that it can move — while most of what 76034 feels after a storm year is territory-wide pricing that lands on claimants and non-claimants alike. The rates guide separates the real levers from the folklore. (General information, not legal advice.)
