At 7:11, half-dollars just south. At 7:12, a 2.75-inch baseball a mile north of Bedford — 2.3 miles from Colleyville’s center — and at 7:17, “golf ball size hail colleyville”, with a measured two-inch stone near Davis Boulevard on the Keller seam and a hen egg southwest of Bedford closing the hour. Wilshire Elementary made the log. So did the Morrisdale neighborhood.

That hour left the full spectrum of damage this page prices: shallow PDR fields where the dimes and quarters fell, deep combination work — paintless plus refinish — where the golf balls and the baseball hit square. Two-plus years on, some of it is still riding around unrepaired, waiting for a trade-in appraiser to price it unkindly. GLADE ROAD GETS THE POLISHED PITCH

Colleyville’s canvassers arrive looking respectable — magnetic signs, matching shirts, an iPad — because the neighborhood teaches them to. After the May 2024 hour they worked the tree-lined loops off Glade and Hall-Johnson for weeks.
