TWO VERIFIED HAIL EVENTS IN ONE YEAR — AND THE YEAR ISN’T OVER

Most of our city pages carry an honest line about how quiet the current year has been. Keller doesn’t get that line. On the evening of April 28, 2026, the last round of the four-day April outbreak put hail up to half-dollar size across the city — the NWS entry reads “several social media photos and reports of hail up to half dollar size across Keller from Old Town Keller to Davis,” logged at 5:35 PM. That is not a ring report; that is the whole town, at dinner hour. Then on August 26, 2026, a trained spotter logged dime-size hail with sporadic quarters at Park Vista Blvd and Keller Haslet Road at 5:55 PM — the northwest edge, where Keller runs into north Fort Worth — four minutes before the same cell dropped 1.5-inch hail on the Alliance corridor. Two things that record means for a Keller driveway. First, a car that has lived outside in Keller this year has very likely met hail twice, and the April round was the one that dents: half-dollar stones mark hoods, roofs and deck lids on steel, and dimple aluminum truck panels at even smaller sizes. Second, the calendar isn’t done — our DFW hail-season data shows a real September–November second season, and Keller’s own record has a November quarter-size entry from 2021 and a September round on I-35 in 2022 to prove it. An April dent and an August dent on the same hood are still one honest, dated claim — if the documentation exists. That’s the free part.

The Public Record

Each row is one National Weather Service local storm report, logged in Keller or within five miles of the city center. That ring reaches the Alliance and Roanoke seams to the west and north, Southlake to the east, and Watauga and North Richland Hills to the south — and what sets Keller apart is how often the entries name the city’s own intersections instead of a distance and a compass bearing. Remember the limits of a point report: a street with no spotter can be hit and never appear, and a pin two miles off doesn’t guarantee your car was under it.

Read the middle column and Keller’s exposure has two shapes. Inside the city, the stones run quarter to half-dollar — the size that dents a hood without cracking paint, exactly what paintless dent repair is for. On the ring, especially the Roanoke and Alliance sides, the record runs to two, three and three-and-a-quarter inches. After The Storm

KELLER PARKWAY GETS THE TENTS WITHIN A WEEK

Keller Parkway’s retail frontage and the big subdivision loops off Davis and Rufe Snow are exactly what a traveling hail crew looks for after a verified event — visible, dense, and full of outdoor-parked SUVs. After April 28 they were here within days; after August 26 they were already staged on the Alliance corridor. Some traveling techs are skilled. None of their warranties have an address. Two things to refuse at the door. A same-day signature that assigns your claim rights before anyone has written an estimate — that’s a contract, not a courtesy. And the deductible “handled” by inflating the estimate to hide it: Texas Penal Code §35.02 calls that insurance fraud, and it’s filed under the policyholder’s name, not the tent’s. The Insurance Side

THE KELLER HAIL CLAIM, PLAINLY

Three facts carry a Keller hail claim, and none of them are ours. Under Tex. Ins. Code §1952.301 the repair shop and the parts are the policyholder’s call — when the claims line offers a network shop, that offer is a suggestion with no legal weight behind it. Under 28 TAC §5.7016 a carrier may not refuse to renew a personal auto policy solely over weather claims. And hail files as comprehensive: no fault assigned, nothing on the driving record.
